It’s time for New Life!

Dear Friends,

I’m writing to update all of you with exciting new changes for worship at Delafield Presbyterian Church! The session met May 25th and made some important decisions for DPC.

For three weeks in May, we anonymously polled our congregation to see what percentage of people coming through our doors were vaccinated for COVID-19. We were encouraged to learn that, on average, about 92% of our congregation is already vaccinated! This means that we have well surpassed the minimum of what would be considered herd immunity to COVID-19.

As such, the session decided that masks are no longer a requirement for attending service.

However, we will have a masks-only section located in the western back quarter of the sanctuary, for those who wish to wear masks, and who are not comfortable being seated too close to someone who is not wearing a mask.

We are encouraging everyone to be respectful and understanding toward people who choose to wear a mask and toward people who don’t.

Additionally, singing is coming back! We can come together and join in song together.

And, finally, we will revive our coffee hour at DPC!

We would encourage anyone who is uncomfortable attending coffee hour to leave through the west door of the sanctuary. Those that would like to go to coffee hour can exit through the back door of the sanctuary directly into the fellowship hall.

The good news is that every month, we get closer to getting back to normal in our worship services. I hope that I will see all of you on Sunday morning at 9:30, for a time of prayer, worship, singing and fellowship!

Yours in Christ,
Pastor Nikki
